ok as i am in the process of starting another new tank :teeth:, i have leanrt a few thing's from prior build's, 1 is take plan it completely and have everything ready. really love the dimensions of new tank 20x18x26. my current tank is a sps tank and really un-sure as to if i want to keep any corals when i do switch over. really leaning towards getting a eel or seahorse's. this would cut back on equiptment needed, power cords ect. i still need to get a stand. thinking of getting a stand 4'x2'x3' this way i can put everything under stand and position tank in middle { chiller, ato sump, dsb sump and other stuff, } wife is tired of seeing stuff. plan to use a little giant 2-mdq-sc for a recirc, trying to cut back on amount of equiptment used and stuff in the tank. lighting will be a 250w reefstar de, a remora pro skimmer, ac jr controller, current 1\10th hp chiller. livestock unless i change mind will be my pair of lubbock wrasse's and a twin spot hog fish. and a pair of clowns. really want that golden angel mike has, and yes i know more than likely it will bother my corals, but i have plenty of live sponge. also thought of setting my dsb tank up as a regular tank for a pair of gobies and a pistol shrimp. any thought's or opinions would be appriciated. this is not a rush set-up and will be doing thing's over the next month or so.

werd......finally got your new tank rick....

as for the stand....no way of building your own?....most factory built stands are very short IMO....

but if you decide on a seahorse or eel tank ...you might not need to do a closed loop on it....i know they dont need alot of flow...

but once you decide what you wanna keep.......then everything else will come together easily..

i seen a thread where the guy had the 30g cube and he made a acrylic overflow and build a acrylic top drilled for closed loop plumbing....looks really sweet...
