My aquamedic nanowave 9

This is my nano wave 9 from aquamedic. HAve it cycling 2 weeks and just got the chiller put in this afternoon. I had no bubbles in the tank with the skimmer running and flow was good with the pump it came with but could be upgraded. I have a eheim 1046 running on the chiller and the in and out are in the only place you can put it. Which is the slotwhere the pump for the out flow is.It seems the flow is a little stronger coming out now to, and the tank went from 90 to 77 78 steady. You do have to make a small cut in the back cover so you can close it from the tubbingcoming out the. Not a big job. I have noticed there is some small amount of bubbles in the tank now abviously from the intake at the chiller but ii f anyone has idea about how to prevent this please let me know. So far this tanks is in theory the best nano out there with the skimmer fuge and filters in one. And the skimmer works. I will post pictures from time to time to show and I can compare it to the other nanos and get advise from you in here.

Make sure the skimmer is working right and that the return pump chamber filled all the way.

tank looks good, what size chiller is that? You could use the rings or switch them out for rubble rock as sometimes the rings can trap detritus (which could lead to high nitrates), plus the rock can always be used to glue frags to.

bubbles: The addition of the chiller pumnp may have dropped to water level lower then it was before in the back portion of the tank; or maybe your skimmer is kicking in or needs to be dialed in.

The back of the tank has proper water levels just like before the chiller pump was instaled. And I had no bubbles with the skimmer when there was no chiller. I think its the water from the in and out causing the bubbles near the pump o fhte return in the tank.

That is probably it then, there maybe air trapped in the hoses or the pump from the chiller. Try moving those around gently and see how that works.

noI just shut the skimmer now and there are bubbles from the outflow that must be from the chiller pump. i wiil try to prime it and see maybe there a small amount of air in there.
