zzrocool-Thanks im gonna look that up and see about the canopy

Thanks 1ucky and evryone for the good feedback

Aaron- tHE AQUASCAPING has very few creative placements, But I had some great old rock (compilation of best pieces from 5 years in hobby) that have great natural shape and the tank allows a certain "valley" type of aquascape.

Tell me how you keep that blue tang when I was told no Way my 75 gallon is way too small ? Just curious

ricky from the pic the tang looks really small. if hes able to care for it in the meanwhile and watch him grow he should give it a shot and when it gets to big he can then sell it to another caring reefer who has a bigger tank. but that tang looks no more then 1" at most..

by the way jason the tank looks awesome love the rockwork... ;)

also up to u but i would get rid of the GSP cause it grows fast and will encrust on all the rocks eventually. just a little fyi

Well my 54 will be WAYY to small for an adult hippo tang and at that time I will gladly seek out a member with a good established 180+ tank and graduate him.

As for know hes the size of a big thumb print so He'll be good for a year or 2 easy. Often very tiny hippo's (blue) are available and I wouldnt suggest putting them in large set ups (likely with large fish that would harrass them).

As for the question: Are you asking me how do I keep a blue tang care wise, or are you questioning the ethics of keeping a baby blue tang in a 54 corner. What makes it confusing is how you compare it to how others told you not to keep a blue tang (in a 75)and not sure how that plays in. Please clarify

Thanks John and Tony, Im just taking time filliing with corals and letting it grow naturally I want a well grown tank and not a bunch of seperate frags so I dont mind a few that spread crazy I already got kenya tree popping up everywhere

And If someone can tell in the bottom right is that hair algae or maidens hair? Its seems real fine like maidens hair but never had that in my tank so assuming its hair algae

MIDTOWN! my fellow 54 friend, we all think that when we see anothers tank, im sure if I saw yours id say the same thing, but thanks

As for lighting I have the cheap aquatraders line lighting w/ the 2 65 PC actinic and 1 250 10k halide, but changing to a 20k XM (tonyscoots original) hopefully tommorow. Ive had luck w/ this cheaper lighting system in the past (as im knocking on wood).

Its great how you can go from a pile of rocks cloudy water and a empty tank. to something that looks so nice. Its one of the things I enjoy about this hobby.
