I agree with you that our hobby is for responsible people, who know what they are doing and that have experience.
Both Tangs must go to a bigger tank (Dombosky I?m counting on you...)
That?s for sure. I?m not promoting my particular tank.
What I wanted to demostrate is that with good care, water changes and experience you can keep the fish + the corals.
I know many fishkeepers that have never succeeded in keeping those tangs and corals in a bigger aquarium...

Having met you I knew you were going to do the right thing. The concern from the Mods was it seemed you were implying that keeping those type of fish in a small tank can be done versus keeping those type of fish and coral together not thinking of your particular tank. Unfortunately too many people read posts like that and do not do any further research before they go out and set something up similar.

I wish I could take your fish Xavier but unfortunately a fish that size will be food in all of my tanks. There are many members on the board who could provide a good home for the fish. I can help you find them a new home if you would like.

Dom members are members before they are mods and when they are mods they are still members.

Understood but mods also have more responsibility than members and every post of a moderator is representative of the site whether intended or not because it says "moderator" underneath the username at all times.

In any case all I was trying to do was help out a dedicated hobbyist. One of the fustrating things about boards like this is when mods or members make short and semi-sarcastic responses (Manhattan Reefs is definitely one of the better boards). The same result can be achieved by taking the time to explain why the specific scenario is not ideal and what can be done to rectify the situation. To me that has much more of a positive impact for a that particular member and any other who reads the thread.

Nice tank (setup and all) but I also have to agree if this is not a temp tank the tangs prob would have to go ... Now I am not a model citizen for having larger fish in smaller tanks ( i had my prized Naso in my 65g w/o any probs for 2+ yrs until I sold it all away) but that was a nice sized tank ...

I look at my 20g with my clown and damsel and say 1 more fish would be perfect w/o overstocking ... 12g with 5 fish maybe pushing it ... You have to look at the situation in your fish's perspective, how would you feel swimming around with barely any room ... I bet they couldn't even establish there own territory in that tank ... If your successful great, but i would look into a bigger tank for the health and well being of your animals ...

Not a hater here, just my 2 cents ...
