Folks,
Thanks for the warm welcomes!!! I just started this hobby about 6 months ago. I bought the tank setup w/ rocks, sand, a few fish, and equipment (no corals) from someone who already had it going for a couple of years.
I am not too sure about the equipment but I just discovered yesterday that I also have a UV sterilizer, as well. I know that I have a basic skimmer, pump, and wet/dry sump. I am not sure of the strength of or specs of all the equipment. I have the following lighting:
Current-USA
Model# 2034 - 65 watt Dual Daylight 6,700k/10,000k
21.25" x 1.75" x 1"

Model# 2036 - 65 watt Dual Actinic 420nm/460nm (blue/purple)
21.25" x 1.75" x 1"

I currently don't have a chiller and the temp ranges between 75-80. I want to get better lighting without having buy a chiller. I know that MH produces lots of heat. I was thinking about considering LEDs as a substitute?!? Any thoughts?
The center of the zoa in the 3rd pic is white. I've got 2 votes for fire and ice. I just did a search for fire and ice zoas and found that they are exactly what i have. Thanks guys!!
Also, should I put that green plate coral on the sand bed? Does it need a lot of light? I only concern for putting that plate on the sand bed is that the tank is taller than the average tank and it will not get enough lighting there. What are this risks if I keep it at the same place? It's been there for a month+ now.
Thanks,
