Seems like you've already got coraline growing on your starboard. I like your frogspawn, sweet color.

Did you finally go with a SS?

I'm looking forward to watching this progress. I believe in taking my time also. I feel that my mistakes will at least be well thought out! :lol2:

Thanks! it has been slow going, but I really think it pays off. The coralline loves the starboard, the portions of sb that are not covered by rock are almost completely covered. I think I will probably get a Squirt instead of the SS, but everything seems happy right now, so I haven't made it a priority.

I'm hoping that when the FS grows bigger it will host clowns

finished hood pix (aside from mounting the MH reflector)

the outside was stained w/ two coats of MinWax Wood Finish 209 Natural and then coated w/ two coats of MinWax satin finish Helmsman Spar Urethane. Inside was sprayed w/ white epoxy appliance paint.

hey zahner everything looks great... one thing about the hinges u used... there are going to rust considerable from evaporation... i used them for my door and there rusting not a crazy amount just something to think about....

one question though. why did you put the drain thru the side of the tank and not the bottom? forgive me if you already answered that question.

i had to drill the back since the 30 cubes have tempered bottoms. I think it is possible to order them from Oceanic drilled (they drill b4 tempering the glass) but I picked this one up secondhand so had to DIY

I just love nano-tanks threads! You should add some fan trays over your sump to help with heating issues.
