I picked up this tank from a fellow MR member and migrated the contents of my exisiting Current biocube. Added some additional rock and sand and ended up with the aipstasia you see in a lot of these pics. The corals you see along the front, except the pearlescent chalice and the red/orange zoas, are new and from pacific east auqaculture (thanks, Beth). I also got 6 peppermint shrimp as a hope on the aipstasia but they are all in hiding.
In other pics you can see my christmas tree worms, my one of the fishing worms, a lot of other worms...I love that rock. There's some calcified algae and my clown. I had a six line wrass until sometime last night when he/she decided to jump out sometime between 2:00 and 8:00 A.M. Was a great fish and I'm bummed.
There is one picture that has a snowflake looking/symentrical hex shape....any idea what it is?
I also have some nuibranchs coming for the aipstasia since I've heard mixed results on the shrimp.
THe tank is lit with 4 t-5s with individual reflectors (a sunsystem light) and there is a skimmer, bag of carbon and a1" thick filter media sponge on the return pre-sump. The refugium has some chelato about 5" of sand and some rock in it.
So far the switch has been pretty painless (thanks to my brother's help mostly) from the smaller to the bigger tank. At the time of the switch I also got an RO unit...my local cvs is missing my business on the distilled water from them and I couldn't be happier with the ease and convenience.
Well that's it, that's my tank. I'll put up some more pics when things change or to see if the aipstasia is curtailed by the shrimp or nudis.
