Does any one use tap water for their reef tank!!!!?????

Here's what my filter looks like after about 15 gallons of Manhattan tap. And that's just the particulate filter. You don't want to be putting this in your tank.

That looks like a health hazard to you, nevermind your reef! Did you show that to your landlord?

one word........Insane!!......thats just bad.......(update) I ordered a 5 stage ro/di system about an hour ago should be here next week thanx a lot guys....especially to you Dallas you opened my eyes......:bigeyes: I dont want my fish swimming in that!!!!!!!!!!

I live in a rental apartment and I am looking for a RO system that is kind of portable that you don't have to hook up permanently.
Any sugesstions?

No rodi needs to be permanently hooked up. You can use a faucet adapter and hook it up only when you are using it.
