This is my 175G Sps dominated mixed reef. It's been setup about 8 months. The equipment room is in the basement, I'll post some pic if anyone wants.

Lighting is 2x250 MH + 6X54w T5.

I pulled some hair algae yesterday so there's some strands on the coral that wouldn't otherwise be there. Most of these small colonies started out from frags I found on Manhattan Reefs.

thanks, a few of the pieces are older than that and came from a previous tank. I would say that growth really took off 2 months ago when I got all my levels in check.
Also dosing vodka really helped me remove my nitrates.

Love your setup. I am trying to plan my next tank and am looking for ideas. Can you post some pictures of the equipment?

What are the dimensions of the tank?

I'll post some pics of the basement setup this weekend.
Here's a quick equipment list:
2x 14K phoenix MH
6x T5 ati blue/actinics
3x vortex
1 Reeflo orca 250 skimmer (gravity fed)
1 elos skimmer (at the end of the sump line)
a couple of sumps & a 40g breeder in line.

I run carbon and phosphate reducer.
I dose vodka & occasional probito.
I also have cheeto in one of the sumps.

no calcium or kalk, looks really nice, great work. what is vodka doesing?

I'm dosing randys 2 part recipe off a controller on separate pumps. I also use kalkwater on the top off.

The Xenia's a real PIA, I regularly chop them off and hit the bases with kalk but they keep sprouting back. Anyone have any experiences getting rid of them?

The dimensions are 47w, 36d, 24h

The tank is aprox 8 months old. The tank & stand was made by aquarium obsessed in canada.

I got the idea of the using plastic anchors for frag racks from Jason at Grenich Aquaria. They work great and are cheap. I slapped the rack together from some scrap acrylic I had lying around.

At work again.. I'll try and get some pics of the basement setup tonight and post.
