since I first entered the hobby, I have loved small creatures that go together to make an ecosystem, but as my tanks got larger, the small creatures got more and more lost, and it became harder and harder to justify the purchase of a thing like trimma gobies, because I barely ever saw it. even in a 20L I had to really look to find a .5" eviota and a .75" spotted trimma.
and so began my plan for a pico! I have a 2.5g I have been using for one of my rescue bettas, Aqua, but I am going to move him into an extra bowl, and then nab a filter from one of my other betta tanks and use it for this pico.
I am going BB with this one, as I have with my big reef. I might eventually add sand, but for now, BB is fine. my plan for equipment is
filter- aquaclear 20 modded into a fuge with some cheato and rock rubble
light- 20w PC clamp lamp
rock- some nice shaped rock from my main display
for stocking, Im going to keep this as simple as possible.
corals- mix of zoas/palys, BSP, neon green anthelia, a few softies
inverts/fish- the smallest clown goby I can find, and maybe a pair of sexy shrimp.
will decide on the water change scedule once I have started the tank up. going to fill it up monday (hopefully)! stay tuned!
