Advice on Protein Skimmer

I have a 54 corner bow and my powerhead just crapped out on my skimmer. I was never crazy about its performance. The skimmer is sorta build into the sump.

Any advice or recommendations on any brands?? would really appreciate it

Jebo and seaclone are the worst skimmers out there. Look into ASM, Octopus, Bubble master or magnus, deltec, H+S......they're are so many. It really depens on your budget.

gotta spend a little more than that man....
look at about 100-150$ and you can find yourself a fairly good used skimmer...
something that can support a 54g tank...you dont want something that will just waste your electricity...the cost goes up with fancier designs...but most important is the pump..

If you're going to buy a cheap skimmer try to get only the body. You can purchase a pump separately and do a "mesh mod". It may or may not work well. As suggested I would wait until you have about $150
