hi everybody...

today is my birthday and i got a new digital camera. so first order of business was to take a picture of MY tank. (see robbins, it does exist...i don't just shove crap into dave's tank, i have my own...lol) so here it is...
i know it's customary to list all the equipment and livestock that is present in my tank but i have no idea what any of them are. except for my tomato clown which i appropriately named "grumples" because he head-butts anything i stick into the tank, whether it be my hand, net, etc. if you are interested, by any chance, best to ask dave (dcg1286), alan (lazibonez), or randy (prattreef) because that's where i got all of my "stuff". thanks guys!
i apologize for the pageantry, miss america-esque, acceptance speech-like, ramblings. i'm just really excited to share these pics with all of you. so enjoy and please feel free to comment or offer any kind of advice, but please be gentle...LOL :D "hello my name is roslyn and i am a noob!"
on a side note, however, this tank will be coming down by the end of the week because i will be upgrading to a 20g. :D

*this tank has been running for 6 months. originally set-up for the nano-reef 10g competition (the one where you can only spend $300 including equipment...i kinda blew that budget being a week into it. LOL!)*

Happy Birthday Roslyn!

Great job on your tank so far except for the algae. hehe. Looking forward to see your 20g upgrade, bigger tank is definitely better in terms of water parameter stability. Nice pictures, too bad they are so small.

haha...i didn't intend for them to be so small but dave is going to come to the rescue and fix it.

as for the algae, i had it under control in the first two months of the tank and now it's coming back with a vengeance. eek, new tank syndrome i guess :P

Since u are going to upgrade, u can take the chance to pull out as much algae on the rocks and work on lowering nutrient on your new set up. Dump in a bunch of hermits, they do a good job on hair algae on rock but not when the algae gets too long.. and RODI water is a must. Good luck.
