I am having mixed reviews. A very knowledgable guy on thereeftank told me he didn't like them because they weren't bright enough but he uses 10k's on his tank with no actinics and loves the color so he isn't much help to me haha. I am getting 2 ARO ballasts, 2 spiders reflectors and 2 reeflux 12k's for 90 bucks and I am contemplating on whether or not to keep the 12k's.

I tried RF/12k on IceCaps & to my eye, they were very dim & blue. You would probably get a better output if you used M80 HQI ballast. On IceCaps, I like the Aqua Connect 14k bulbs.

well its been a couple weeks: I lost alot of my coral in the tank due to a mini spike of dead coral from to much light( I think??) I added a bunch of more live rock to my sump and finished aquascaping the rock. I also set up a frag tank today

thanks for asking, yes I used water and established rock from my 72gal and someone else tank but I would not reccommend it!! Had a small ammonia spike. Ps I will always buy good test kits in the future

Any updates on this amazing tank? Also, I noticed you didn't cycle your tank. Is it because you used water and cured rock from your previous tank?
