Appreciate all the kind words folks!!

More pics to come tonight - I moved the biggest anenome from my 120 into here last night..one more to go!

It's amazing how quickly a year flies by!

Not much has changed in this tank except for some growth by the anemones. I was sorely disappointed that the purple LTA didn't make it (there was a sand bed in the tank at the time), I tried everything and nothing helped.

I did finally move the green BTA into the tank and over the past year it has split into 2. It is very cool at night as it has different color tips, hopefully I can get that on film and post it.

The exact same fish are in there along with the CBS, no changes there. :fish: I did add a Red Brittle Star and usually see a leg sticking out from behind the anemones every now & then, so I know he's ok.

I did change the skimmer a week or so ago- thanks Jon Robbins. I traded for a Tunze 9010 and it cost me Siamese Twin Leprechauns, but was well worth the trade ;)

I added phosban & carbon reactors after I had some issues with the Marco rocks. Apparently I got some from that talked about batch that had high phosphates and the algea battle was hellish for a while. I ended up having to change some of the rocks out to my old rock from my 33g Oceanic (which is what I broke down to put this tank up). With that rock came part of that purple sponge you see down in the front center. Fine by me, its a slow grower and a nice color.

While I do have an AC Jr for this tank, I haven't gotten around to hooking it up yet since the light has it's own controls. The top off is a Kent Aquadoser that sits above the tank and takes care of the evaporation one drip at a time (yeah I have an ATO for it, and I'll get around to that one of these days..).

I didn't add the Vortech to this tank. Well, I tried but in the first 2 minutes it was on - it sucked the LTA upwards and that was it for me. The only flow in this tank is provided by the Marineland Utility return pump and I don't think the anemones could care less :)

..and yes, one of my covers is on the tank ;)

Not many different ways to take a pic of a 45g tank, so you're just getting one..lol

As always..thanks for looking :)

kat this is the tank from macna ? u worried about the nems as big as they are eating any fish ? looks great btw

Yup, it sure is :) Nothing like a free tank!
I figure if they haven't chowed down on the 2 clowns in there by now, they will leave everyone alone. I feed the tank well, as you can tell from the heftiness of that YT..lol

If they decide to start noshing on fish, I may have to take them to visit Randy's anemone tank ;)

man i love anemones and that looks awesome! Keep up the good work.

P.S. What does the purple anemone that was mentioned in an earlier post look like

Thanks Fortunato :)
The purple LTA didn't make it. The tank was well established when he was added, I had the appropriate sand bed for him (LTA's sink their foot to the bottom/side of the tank usually under the sand), but he just never thrived. It was a downward spiral after the first few months.
At the same time all of the BTA's (what you see in the pics) were growing like crazy.

..and he was beautiful :(

Aw I know how you feel, I'm sorry, I was so sad when my ritteri died especially because of an equipment malfunction. And yeah it's weird, it seems like BTAs are much hardier than other anemones because I'm having the same issue right now. For whatever reason my 3 BTAs are opening so big and my haddoni, after I think 3 years that I've had it now, it's acting up, like it usually opens a good 18" across but now it's been little for the past 4 days :( I hope it doesn't die I would be so sad because I've seen him grow from when he was only about 6 inches

Thanks Thane, they do make for a nice peaceful tank. :spin:

Fortunato - I could never have a Haddoni, they are stunning to look at but I'd worry myself half to death about my fish getting eaten by it.
I hope your guy pulls through! What color?

He's green and yes he is very mean! LOL I'm actually afraid of the same thing sometimes but now I have a black saddleback clowns that keeps other fish away because he hosts it. One time I added some black clarkis and one of them tried hosting him and he almost ate him and then I (not thinking) stuck my hand in the anemone to get the clown out, unfortunately the clown was stung so bad, he had the marks of each individual tentacle on his body and so did my entire hand including my fingernails! Clown died overnight :(

Thanks Guys!!

I love everything about this tank, the cube shape is wonderful for aquascaping and it's a perfect place to keep those anemones and not have to worry about them strolling around on my other corals :)

The only thing that I may change (someday) would be the sump as the design of it doesn't allow me to run a filter sock..on my do-to list.

Yes Frank, that Yellow Tang is positively portly! He is always front and center waiting for another meal. :eat:
