Hi all just thought I would share my tank with you
it's been set up over two years now and it's my 4th tank and funny to say it's the same size as my 1st tank that I had nearly 20 years ago
Tank Rena 48x20x28
DSB Sump 36x12x15
Algae tank 24x8x8
Skimmer Aqua medic 5000 shorty compact gravity feed
Return pump Aquamedic OR6500
Phosphate reactor
15 watt UV
Balling lite (started of with reactor)
twin 250watt MH plus 4 54watt actinic T5's
Aquatronica computer controlling all apart from lights
GHL light bar controlling lighting also with led flash light stick
finally after months of getting bit's together I have made a start ripping the utility room apart for my 48x20x28 hole in the wall tank
Have put in a high level shelve for storage of test kits etc my MH lights hang from this
the MH are a Aqua medic twin 150watt unit that I have taken out the heavy ballast out
and I hook up a electronic remote 250watt unit to it
(i had to swap over the bulb holders as 150watt, 250watt bulbs are different)
I've fitted a fan in it with a run on timer as they run a very hot
Plumbing and wiring up of equipment
Extract fan above the lights
cooling fan right hand side of lights
I am using two Aquatronica plug bars (left & right) that will be plug into separate 4 way plug bars
each one will have its own RCD (latched)
there is a third RCD above the shelve this will feed the lights via a central heating timer via a relay
Plumbing
Skimmer
Tank
Weir comb
SCWD and the reef clean valve
And the reason that the tank protrudes into the lounge
my utility room is not that wide and the wife would not let me get rid of the freezer and dog
and a video
and a newer full tank shot
Thanks for looking and comments are appreciated (apart from Simon Garrett :wink1
