I have not had any major bad luck (knock on wood). The biggest issue was when the water got cloudy once due to either phosban or some GSP that I was scraping off. A quick 15g water change & carbon magically turned that incident around, but it had me biting my nails.
My biggest fear is a leak!
Ink, I think the zoos are ready, but it pains me to take a chisel & hammer to it!

I have 2x 250W XM 20K's & 2x 54W T5's on now. Ink has my original T5 only setup. I kinda miss that fixture, but then again you can't beat shimmers!
The cap has been my biggest grower...gonna have to frag it soon. To think that I was bummed out about how slow it initially grew.
