Are you still using the Tunze? If yes, how often do you clean it really well? How much skim do you get?

I felt like any skimmer for this size tank (unless it's a hang on or the Bubble Magus QQ) wasn't doing much to make a difference, so I've been skimmerless since March. I do a 5 gal WC every 2 weeks or so.

My tank is pretty stable and established , so I don't have any nuisance algae and my corals are still thriving.

looks great man,
i find your lighting times interesting. I never get to enjoy my tank later in the night when im actually home. yours comes on at 5pm? what about natural sunlight? does it confuse your corals and what not?

thinking of setting my lighting back a few hours

I changed my light times 3 months ago, I now have the sunset/sunrise timing. Starts a 2hr ramp up from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. 2hr ramp down from 9pm-11pm.

The room it's in is dark, I keep my shades down during the day.

Of course I do. It's on autopilot for now. Working on the upgrade
