Yes I know him, he is a good guy. I've met Simon a couple of times and I was lucky enough to see his reef tank a few years ago. He is revered by the majority of UK reefkeepers. His friend Simon Clarke has/had possibly the best SPS reef tank in the UK.

Is there a particular reason you do not use DI Resin?

Evidently I don't need to use D.I. resin :D (RO product is about 2-3 tds, which is good enough for me).

and im sure you are tired of hearing it by now(haha) but WOW your tank is very nice.. it is very different from most setups you see here with very limited amounts of rock.. would you mind posting pics of your sumps and plumbing?
