here are some pictures
the second pic is
Dendrophyllia Coaretata
Encrusting Dendro

the first is a branching dendro
Dendrophillia Arbusuela"

and the one that is not opened up is the typical kind...forgot what its called.
they are all opened at night and day and have freakin massive polyps...unlike sun corals .

Joe, those are beautiful. Nice pix.
Are they aggressive?
LPS, correct?
What kind of requirements do they have? Lighting/flow, on rock/substrate?

Thanks. Sorry for all the Q's, but I've been thinking about getting one or two.

Thanks Russ,
yes these are LPS, and they need to be fed, at least once a week.
i feed mysiss to them about twice a week, and sometimes 3 times...its just awsome to watch them eat"digest(close up) and then get huge and send out there tenticles begging for more.

i have them on the bottom of a halide lit tank, and i think that how i should stay unless you have a really high tank, they dont like to much light and will close uup(like the above pic) if to much light is shun upon them. flow is medium around them.

you should defintelly get yourself some!

Great pics and really beautiful pieces! I'm keeping mine underneath an overhang in my tank, that way I can keep it up higher(easier to feed). I feed mine almost every day, depending on time. They still receive a lot of light, but they open up every time I feed my tank. I feed them mysis and cyclop-eeze. The cyclop-eeze can get a little messy even though I use a syringe, but my fish mop up the rest.

Joe, which variety do you like best?
Are they all cared for the same way?
How would you compare them to sun corals?
Are they expensive?
Are they considered aggressive with sweepers?

Thanks again,
Russ
