alk and ph

i dont know if this is normal or not, but i am noticing when i am dosing my alkalinity (25 ml) my PH is rising from 7.9 to 8.1. i dose every morning like this and have been since the life of the tank but that seems like a big jump. my corals have never showed any ill effects but growth is deff on the slower side. could this be a potential issue?

Alk will raise ph, your increase is fine. Locally mine spikes even higher since i dose near my PH probe but it evens out.

Yeah just make sure your ph probe is calibrated and yes that's how I dose my tank also ph 8.0 in the morning I add cup of b ionic 1&2 ph jumps 8.1 after the lights stay on for couple hours ph go up to 8.2 lights out it go down again , its important to check alk because even the lab grade probs go of track over time
