Hi All,
I bought a Sunset Anthias 3 days ago. The fish had just arrived at the store when I bought it. It was nice and plump without a mark on it.
Went through all the steps. testing water in quarantine tank and bag containing fish, acclimated the fish for an hour and a half with partial water changes, etc.
In the morning, less than 12 hours later it was dead. The oddest part was the fish was already floating at the top of the tank.
I have been keeping fish for over 30 years, though relatively new to marine, and have never had a fish die that quickly and to float so soon after death.
Could there have been something in the collection or shipping process that could have have caused this?
Would appreciate any info.
Thanks,
Penny
