Well, I was impatient.

I didn't want to wait when the kind offers from Jonathan and House to help with my tank rework didn't time out right this week.

I began the project tonight, alone.

BIG MISTAKE!

Right out of the gate, I cracked one of the bulkheads for my closed loop. And it's been all down hill from there.

Here I sit, taking a break, at 3:00 am, and nowhere near able to stop. I hope to get 1 drain, my returns, and my skimmer running tonight.

Anyone available to help with the rest
?
I'll still need to do my other drain line and my closed loop (and fix/replace the broken bulkhead if such a thing is possible.)

I would love to do it Tuesday @ noon. Anyone available please let me know.

Thanks

Michael

:(
sorry to hear that.
how are things now?

if the bulkhead is cracked I think you'll need a new one.

Jonathan,

Not great.

I am trying to bring in a professional today to finish up.

I got 1 drain, and my returns working. I plugged the closed loop bulkhead. I cracked another bulkhead(5:30 am) on the bottom of my new rubbermaid sump. UGH!. Probably 50 gallons on the basement floor.

I threw in the towel @ 6:30. Time to deal with the kids.

Wish me luck

wow sorry Michael, that sounds horrible.
I feel really bad that I could not come over yesterday.
I hope you get everything worked out today, and get some sleep.

Damn, how are you cracking bulkheads? They should only be tightened using hand pressure and if it still leaks a 1/4 turn or less with a wrench. Adding silicone around the bulkhead will help the seal as well. BTW what is the RC name of the guy who is helping you?
