He said he already ran a test and it came.back high in metals..that's why I stated earlier...to check very carefully. Def lose all magnets just in case

Not sure if its the exact reason, but marine pure is an aluminosilicate ceramic media and has been shown to leach excess Aluminum as it breaks down over time, if your marine pure is mush to the touch and disintegrates there may be a chance that it is time to remove the block. I took mine out as it was also causing nutrient imbalances in my system.
