Nassarius snails
Fighting conch
Sand sifting sea star

Diamond gobies are cool but they can cloud up water for a while.
I have plenty of spaghetti worms and stromatella snails that do a great job picking up food

In a respectful way, that is a terrible recommendation. Although it does sift the sand, it will nuke your tank after if staves to death and decays.

Avoid these animals at all costs.

I have had a sand sifting star for over two years now without issue. I agree that they will starve if there is not enough food to go around like anything else. I would def recommend having a sand sifting star but more than one depends on the size of your system as they consume high rates at a time.

Still, it sifts the sand and eats everything beneficial also. I still would say for 95% of everyone, stay away from these.

Goby, jawfish, and nass snails. buy buy buy. Id go nass snails, personally. Gobys and jawfish will leave your sand bed with huge mounds everywhere.
