I don't have a lot of experience with clownfish and was wondering if anyone could help me understand the differences and if the cost is high, average, good deal.

I met someone (not a member of this site) who has offered to sell me a pair of Black True Percula's.

His description is as follow's:

1. Picasso type pair with black and unusual white patterns: $175
2. Premium pair..alot black with black dorsal fins: $150
3. Standard pair..black bars but with no black dorsal fins: $100 (lg) $75 (sm)

From research, the pictures all appear to be Picasso's?

If someone could provide links with pictures of each type he describes that would be awesome!! ;) Any advice would be great too! Oh yeah, if any MR vendors can get a pair, I'd rather purchase them from you.

Thanks in advance for your help!

those aren't really picasso clowns. ORA has the only true Picasso clowns right now but they only sell to retailers. Those are just true percs exhibiting a recessive gene for odd white stripes. The picasso clowns have a much more wild stripe pattern on all stripes. The pricing is up to you, if you think it's worth it than it is. You can see the picasso clowns at ORAfarms.com.

Thanks. I didn't see anything labeled Picasso on their site but did see a mis-bar false.

Maybe I shouldn't buy any until I get more familiar with the species. I almost couldn't tell the difference between the fish in the pictures
