This is what appears to be a blue acro that my LFS got in for a guy who had ordered it for pickup this past friday. When Frank called him to tell him it was in and ready for pickup the guy replied "My tank isn't even up and running yet hold it for me." Frank has only Regular Flourescent lighting and the next morning he called me and told me of his situation. Knowing that I had PC lights and was able to come up at a moments notice. He sold it to me for 55 the price he paid for it pluss a few bux profit. Neither here nor there, it will survive a little more in my tank than in his.

Here is some pics of it, should I frag it, sell it whole, or try to keep it?

It is about 3 inches tall each stalk, and looks blue. PLease excuse the cr@ppy pics it actually is not as bleached as it looks in the pic.

Brendan,
I remember getting a coral that looked exactly like what you describe, it has a bluish tint. Sad that I came to find out it wasn't alive.

Now can you see any polyp extension on your coral? If you mess with it(touch it with your hand, rub a branch a little) just to annoy it does it let out any slime?

Does it even have any tissue or polyps visible? From the pic it most definitely looks to be a goner.

What LFS is this anyway that all that they have are normal output flourescents?

Tom because you are an HVRK member I will not tell you where it was bought. They have reg Flo lights thats all you need to know. Not gonna turn this into a bashing thread of "Fishtopia" Proportions. You know what I am talking about. Nobody here shops there nor do any of the hvrk members either.

Will try to take it back tomorrow. There's some flesh and the pics aren't too good. Will move it down and see if it colors up, I really hope it isn't dead.

Josh it was suposed to be an in and out deal, no holding. I have had him order stuff for me for a "rightaway pickup". I agree it looks like a montipora but the order sheet said acro so not being SPS savy I trusted the shipping sheet.
