We came home tonight to a clown fish on the floor dead. Is it normal for a clown to jump from a tank? Chemistry was checked earlier today and they were normal.... fish was also happy when we left for the evening.

I had one jump out, had a pair of clowns in the tank, and one jumped one night......there was NOTHING chasing it, it just jumped. I think it was scared by the TV flashing.

Everything else in tank was fine, and the other clown is still alive 3 years later.

My clowns are always trying to jump (well, one is), into the overflow though. I had a different one while ago, jumped out of the bucket while I was acclimating him. Luckily I was able to save him before the cat got to him :catsmiley.
