Sounds like a lot of over engineering. Acrylic tanks that are not supported at the bottom will bow. I piece of pressure treated ply wood is fine. But if your set on doing it how u want and your welding guy don't mind spending hours at the shop go for it I'm sure it will look awesome. Show some pics!!!

It was def over engineered haha. There is a picture in my previous post. Can somebody explain why a sheet of plywood is needed? If I support just the perimeter of the tank with the two cross braces would that be sufficient?

Asked manufacturer they haven't gotten back to me. Last time I asked they said use a sheet of plywood. Does anyone know why? I'm just not seeing the reason behind it, if I support all the seems with the frame and have cross bracing why do I need to fully support the bottom does the acrylic eventually sag?

Are you not getting what they're saying? Listen to the manufacture !

If your welder is good he would inlay Steel flush with the bottom of the top
Are you going to put doors on the stand
