Do all Redsea aquariums have chewed up silicon?

its a shame that these manufacturers sell someone a shoddy item and there is no recourse and that they are not liable, these are not cheap items we are dealing with

I can apply silicon but i think id have to cut some of it that?s sticking out
Im not sure what im going to do we will see

Is it me, but the silicone looks really thick between glass. I never seen that before. Look at my seam on the outside between glass....very very slim line in between. Your tank looks like quarter inch thick. Maybe it?s the angle of the photos.

I saw another red sea max 250 at my LFS and it was horrible quality, the cabinet nothing like mine, the controls were completely different, even the space between the jets were different, and the hood had different connectors - could have been a previous version but it looks cheap and not well put together

One thing that is driving me nuts right now is the fact that my ballast blew on two of my bulbs and the hood is not user friendly to swap out or change ballasts - I'm contemplating going hydras and scaping the entire hood - :scratch:
