i think brs only sells dry rock. i thought i read they said their rock has no phosphate.
This can be tricky. My friend and I have identical setups(same tank, skimmer, light, sump, we both ordered rock from BRS) and the only difference is that my tank has more flow (4xmp10wes). He flushed his rock before placing into his tank. Now I did a tank transfer and did not flush my rock. When he was flushing his rock he stated that his TDS meter was giving readings through the roof. My rocks are leeching. My guess is that the rock soaked up the added phosphates from my previous tank and began to leech. OP, my system has a total volume of 110g. I switched out 100% in 3 weeks. After the water change my po4 was .25. I scrubbed all my rock, siphoned any algae, reduced the amount of sand I had in my tank by 50%, and actively switched out phosphate remover, and now I don't have traceable po4. My tank looks much better than it did before however it's still leeching. I did not dose peroxide bc I heard it might piss off acros.
