Thank you. Yes, I am going to go bare bottom. I'll be syphoning the rest of the sand out with the next water change.

No, no skimmer. Lots of flow with a Tunze mini powerhead and an AC 10 HOB filter with 1/2 unit chemipure elite and sponge. 1 pint water changes 2 times a week.
