So I like to sit in front of my 10 gallon and stare at my coral and fish...today I was just doing my normal stare and my Cherub angelfish comes over and starts to twitch at me. The twitching in an s-shape with fins folded to the body is similar to the twitching that clowns make at each during bonding (?). He also flares around at me in between folding his fins and swimming around almost on his side twitching at me.

I am 100% sure it is different from a fish twitching due to having an itchy or trying to rub off a parasite.

It looks like courtship behavior from what I have seen on youtube.

Oh man what if the little guy has fallen in love with me o_O?! I am wearing red today...so maybe he loves my red sweater. Maybe I should buy a red fish for him to dote on.

I'd love to know anyone's experiences and thoughts about this!

There are no such signs of an infection. Considering that today is the first day he has behaved this way and only when he is swimming in front of me, I will monitor him with more staring in the next couple of days.

It is probable that it is ick....but generally ick will manifest itself as white or black spots in a marine environment, correct? Oh the suspense!

The poor guy is going to seriously get a case of paranoia!
