Welcome! When my wife and I moved to Old Bethpage from Queens, our first night after going to bed, around 1 am, I asked her if she was awake and when she said yes, I asked her if she hears something...she said no. I said........EXACTLY! Actually went outside and as funny as it may sound, we were in awe at how quiet and peaceful it was. And man...the stars...so many stars! LOL! Aside from the taxes and LIPA's occasional lack of ability to keep the power on, I don't regret it one bit. Don't get me wrong, the 5 boros has its pros,..aka pretty much everything was in walking distance and had more than enough of different types of cuisine etc, but nothing beats peacefulness. And I find it kinda cool to see wild rabbits, chipmunks, frogs, ducks, geese etc...instead of rats the size of cats.:lol_large
