 Wow, that is one real picture. DIRTY
Yep, your LTA does appear to be bleaching. Do you feed it? Do you have enough flow for it? Are your parameters perfect? Maybe your clown is harrasing it too much. Or those shrimp during feeding for that matter.

well..not really sure if the clown is harassing it too much, but the anemone is eating 2 medium sized shrimp a week(about the size of the ones in shrimp cocktail in a cheezy diner). the parameters are perfect except for the nitrates that have recently been .15 or so.
i have been stepping up on water changes to correct this.
i watch it eat, and if anything is bothering it, besides the clown, who seems to protect it more than anything, i shoe them away. (it's mainly been a stupid worthless camelback shrimp i got from shavo
btw, he has since moved from the spot pictured to a spot where he gets light from both the halides and the new cf fixture. still eating good, and is now away from the camelback, but still pale :?
as for the "dirty" pic, i rarely clean the sides of my tank

I just had a BTA perish because of too much light :( I only have 400w HQI

b

you had no refuge for it to get out of the light when it has had enough?
i have places of shade in my tank which the anemone utilizes at times, but is mostly out in the open and fully extended.

as for current, yes, plenty of current in my tank
