Jeremy,
The jist is that Japan won't buy our beef unless we can trace which herd it came from. The US will also not be able to ask other countries to certify the beef coming to us unless we have a similar system in place here. Why we ship out to some countries, while importing from others is a mystery to me. I say let the Brits sell to Japan and we can clean up our own beef supply and keep it that way by not importing.
