. To my knowledge, kent nano a+b is just calcium and alkalinity in fancy bottles, so you need to be testing for Ca and dKH, as well as pH when you dose them. The reason for this is that both solutions are bases, so when you add them to your tank, your pH increases a little bit (14-7:Base,6-0 Acid on the pH scale). This is fine normally because the increase is so small, but if you're dosing when you don't need to you're raising the pH too much. I'm not saying dosing a little extra is going to raise your pH to 14, but it could get up in the 10-11 range, which is bad.
