Well my bubble tip just split and never had this happen before lol. Was a bit worried at first but I guess it's normal. The nem is beautiful and was even being hosted. There are no other corals in the tank, however I do have peppermint shrimp that I see can be a stressor for these guys. Should I be worries it split or?

Well my two clowns were kinda fighting over the damn nem. So now they each have one and they can stop their BS lol. I don't mind having more then one, I was looking to get another one anyways it just happened to work out for me. I kinda liked one huge one though it opened up so big

I have the same problem, my main RBTA keeps splitting and the new baby one go next to my zoas, and I?m the type that does not like to move rock around in my tank, I did try to get them out, but its hard to get them of a rock, right now I have 6 RBTA
most of them are small and I have the big mother one

Yeah same lol. But I hear spot feeding them like that actually makes them split. I was feeding mine as well once a week then stopped after I read something about that and it split anyways. Oh well if it happens again I'll just start selling them. They in a straight clown tank anyways so I don't mind but I do hate moving rocks around.

Alot of times they split due to changes or condition that are not optimal to them. It may be slight change in salinity or ph or some levels.

Do you use RO water? Any leather corals in the tank?

Splitting is response to survival, the odds of survival are better if your two then one. Some RBTAs i have had for years never split. Even ones i have had that are from Splits dont split.

I think u right, i use one old box (ESV) of salt, then i see some corals start to got pale, then i decide to do water change every 2 days ( 10%) i change to Reef Crystals, then she split, today i see one more, i got 3 or 4, very nice color.

Hmm that's good to know. They seem fine once they split only thing is they are in places I can barely see from the front of the tank which sucks for me. I'll le them settle a bit and move some rock around I guess =[
