I'm not sure what happened. I just moved my RO/DI unit to my bathroom from the kitchen, there was not enough pressure in the kitchen. I got all the plumbing hooked up in the bathroom and put the waste line and RO line into the sink to test it. I'm getting plenty of water coming from the waste line, but no water from the RO line. I don't know what to try to fix it. The only difference is that I did not attach the 4 gallon pressure tank, but I did not think that would matter since I used to make water with the tank valve turned off. Help I need to do a big water change for my battle with the red bugs!

what's under the piece of tape that says tank?

Also, what's the black thing with the 4 hoses running into it? flush valve? are all the hoses in the right spots?

I'd pull the final out after the DI and see if you're getting anything there.

It could be your RO membrane is clogged as well, not letting anything through.

So the two things in the pic horizontal are the RO(green) and DI (white?) or is it carbon?

And is the Splitter at the end of the line? (after the float switch?) I'd unplug the float switch from the water line and see if that helps.

there's the DI and RO , then the carbon is behind them,

I'm taking the four way valve off and seeing if that helps.

this blows, I took everything off line and unhooked the ro output, there is nothing coming out of the RO membrane. there is still waste water draining.
the RO membrane is only 6 months old? what's going on, is it clogged already?

Have you flushed it lately? Try hooking up the input to the output for a while, and see if it will rinse some stuff out. If that does't work, take it out of the housing and give it a rinse and see if that helps.

i dont think it black flush without back flush valve,on mine when i turn off the thank it trickle out 100 gal in 24 hour but with tank on it comes out fast till tank runs out then it trickel out ,try disconet line from 3rd stage out put and see what the output is,you can probeley do a back flush without back flush valve.

my mistake just the instruction thr ro membrane is self-flushing try back back-flushing the membrane, check the flow valve, disconnet tubeing from 3rd stage to flow valve then other side,if you have water you can disconnect the flow valve take the tubeing mark tank and connect it to the di filter direct (the green unit)and connect the tubing from 3rd stage to the membrane direct if you have water the flow valve was the problem, if none then membane is the problem, cant see the tubeing on the left under the tape mark tank,

I know this is bad to do but I connected the RO membrane directly to the water source, I got zero flow from the water output line, I did get flow from the waste line.
I took apart the RO housing, everything looked fine, no blockages, and the pressure valve at the end of the RO output elbow was working fine.
My only guess is the RO membrane is toast? I'm getting a new one, we'll see what happens.

isnt it bad to run water over the membrane without first filtering it with carbon at least so that it doesnt ruin the membrane?

yes it's bad, I did it anyway to see if the membrane was clogged.
I got nothing out of it. so I'm thinking my membrane is not operating at it's peak efficiency any more  drat.
