hey if u are just getting into the hobby then dam ur tank setup better than any newbie that i have ever seen lol nice tank and BTW how is that lionfish doing in the tank i havent seen too many of them in reef tanks because reefers fear that they can harm corals but i always though otherwise. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome, I feel just like home already.
Here my two months old 150gl tank set up
200 lbs live rock & sand, two Hydor magnum 5 Pumps,
Amiracle sump, ASM G-4x skimmer, coralife 36 watt UV light & phosphate reactor
Most of the fish that's in the tank had went to fish heaven already due to a bad ick infection. The dwarf lion fish is going great in my reef, never touch any of the coral. I've rearrange all the rock & just add some more coral in I'll take some pictures to share with everyone.

Welcome to the MR family!

Beautiful flowerhorn you have there.;) Do you still care for the flowerhorns, or did you give them up for SW?

Seems like you did a great deal of research before setting up your first sw.;) That is great!!!!! Imagine how much heart ache, stress, lifes, and money people would save if we all did like wise.:)
BTW, the fear on keeping lionfish in reefs regardless of dwarf or not is not that they will eat corals.lol It is that they will eat shrimps, crabs, and smaller fish.:( And we love decorative shrimps & crabs as well as our smaller fish.;)

Do share the new pics soon!!

As right now I have six 75 gl and one 90 gl for my flowerhorn but I need to cut back on my freshwater to concentrate on my SW tank.

Here are some pictures that I took it today. Sorry for the poor quality pictures. Some coral are doing good & some are still getting used to the tank. How often do I feed them? What do I feed them? For some reason the SPS is not doing good in my tank at all, could it be the tank is still new? Any advise to help them bloom nicely? I really appreciated it. Thank you.

Anyway just want to share with everyone my tank. Enjoy :)

welcome. like the rock work now better than the first few pics. many would suggest that the sps need a stable and well established tank to thrive. check your parameters more often in the beginning. keep the phos. in check. and leave them alone...don't keep repositioning them and keep your hand out of the tank as much as possible......lol....that's the hardest part.....:biglaugh:

wow 8 tanks in the house.....and i thought 5 was already too much...lol.
i used to keep flowerhorns and red devils. but gave them all up when i went reef about 5yrs. ago.
