One more Skimmer Question

Hello all, this might be a dumb question, but iv'e been running my skimmer a little on the wet side and i was wondering do i replace the removed water of the skimmer with saltwater, fresh water, or not at all. Does that make sense, i think you get the drift. here's another pic, and soon pics will be coming of my first clam and new green flowerpot. Thanks

I would replace with whichever water maintains the salinity at the level you want.

If you're skimming wet, you are removing saltwater. Topping off with fresh water will reduce your salinity. If that's what you want to do, freshwater it is.

i think it depends on how much wet skimmate you are producing.
i run my remora wet, i top off with ro/di. i make my difference
in water changes. i check salinity of tank when im making new water and adjust

I use to wonder the same thing when I set up my MRC. I always check now to see what my salinity is at. I always go from a wet to dry foam and can never make up my mind. Either way I've never had to add salt due to low salinity.
