Phosban reactor

Hi guys I have a ? The phosban media is moving on top but not all around only facing towarda the back of the reactor not the front should I increase the flow is it ok as long it's moving?

thats fine as long as it's tumbling..

Phosban is not suposed to tumble. Read the instructions. When it tumbles it break`s down and go`s into the tank which is not good for the corals......

There are a number of videos on Youtube showing how the media is suppose to be moving/tumbling.

It's also recommend that one a week or so you open the valve up so that the media doesn't become stuck together and hard like a rock.

Not tumbling but slight bubbling is ok. Without actual bubbles. Maybe a slight surface layer disturbance better describes it.

mine tumbles!! never had a problem. if u have the flow thru it slow, it will bind together and create a clump and then u got to throw it out. that stuff is expensive to be throwing out

I have mine to where the surface of them looks like the top of a pot of water when it just starts to boil.
