Great series of photos, i love them. Too bad the camera got flooded, that really sucks. Did you make sure all the o-rings were clean and lubricated? I would definately take that up with canon to see if it was equipment defect.

I also agree about the card reader. Get one of those sandisk 8 in 1. They are great.

tks guys. hopefully I have a few more good ones. I thought about the card reader, I have one for my old Olympus camera, but honestly for this camera the transfer rate for pictures over regular USB is pretty fast. the SD card is clean, no sign of corrosion so not worried about damaging the other camera.

i was meticulus about checking the o-ring, maybe to a fault. camera and housing are getting shipped back to the factory for testing. a couple people on scubaboard had similar experience and Canon replaced their stuff. i have my fingers crossed.
