I went to world wide corals in Orlando Florida and saw them at work in a 300 plus gallon tank and everything from sps to lps and softies look incredible. And they give off a very nice color.

I used the 9002 for a long time on my solana. It never pulled as much gunk as the stock solana skimmer no matter what. Air line mod or not the stock skimmer always worked better for me.
As far as water fluctuation. The water shouldn't fluctuate in the overflow chamber. Mine never did. Just the return and media chamber.
This skimmer may work well for you. Some people love it. But if you have the stock one give it a shot too. Just quiet down the air line with a pill bottle mod and it runs dead silent.

I recently installed the tunze nano ATO on my setup and I am very happy with it
Looking forward to your build. I love solanas.

.

Did you modified your stock skimmer impeller? I just got my solana last week with stock skimmer and i'm working on the modification. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have the wp25 with the new controller. It's amazing. Turn up to full it would be too much. But I can turn it down to where its just perfect. Also note that I have no sand so I can turn up higher then in a tank that has sand.

Maybe the new controller is better, mine is kind of worthless, night mode is what I keep mine on all the time.

This is the trio I added with the hippo tang. I'm still debating on wether to add 1/2" sand for a more natural look.
