I am curious as to how well the muti colored acan do at home. The colors the vendors show are really neat and so are the prices. I would like to know if anyone has them and how well they keep these colors and do they grow new heads with these colors.

You'll see that the best colors come from heads that are growing from the sides, indicating that your lights are too bright. They like low lighting, cool temperatures (i.e. 75-78) and you should target feed them with LPS pellets from Fauna Marin as much as possible. Also to get the best growth you can supplement their base with epoxy if they start to turn into a ball.
