ok so then . i guess over a few days the bubbles. will start to get smaller. and i will start to get some thicker stuff. also the tank is going threw a cycle it only running a few weeks.

and remember the higher the number u set it too the lower the flow, this is if it's the bubble magus

Can you clarify this. I am just starting up a BM3.5 and noticed that when I turn it to "max" the water level is lowest and when turned to "off" water is highest and over skimming

That Is correct. Max is max opening on the outflow. Max opening equals lower water level.
