so i just got this ups today but it came with absolutly no instructions on how low temp probe is supposed to go in the water and how to calibrate ph probe.can someone tell me how this is done.do you put the temp probe all the way in.how do you calibrate ph ahhhhh

man im confused.it says soak in the packets.i dont have packets i have 2 bottles

can anybody help me.this is what i have.i have a ph probe with a plastic cap that has a fluid in there.i also have 2 bottles.1 with ph 7 and 1 with ph ten.i know i need to soak the ph bottles in water to bring up to temp.what do i do with the fluid inside plastic cap that was shipped that way.is that just a fluid so ph probe dont get damaged.do i put ph fluid in that plastic cap is that my packet.any help will do please.i read 3 articles on how to calibrate but none deal with bottles only packets

Pinpoint PH probes use Packets with 7.0 and 10.0 calibration fluid. If the bottles are marked with the same, it is the fluid inside that you need. It doesn't matter if it is in a bottle or packet. Make sure you clean the probe between solutions as to not contaminate them. Follow the rest of the instructions as per...hope this helps.

PS room temp should be ok. The cap on the ph probe is for protection you should not let the probe dry out for an extended period of time.

ok i dipped my probe in solution 7 for app 2 min till numbers leveled out.i then rinsed and did same to solution 10.on my salifert it said ph was 8.0 and on probe it says 7.7.maybe i did something wrong i dont know.

The probe may need a few hrs to adjust. also, depending where in the tank you place it is important, it needs to be in an area of decent flow/turnover.

ahhh its in my sump.not alot of flow in there.i have a 3 tiered system.main tank goes into fuge goes into sump.

i checked the probe in both solutions.solution 7 read 7.05.solution 10 read 10.09 is this close enough or should i re calibrate.salifert still says its 8.4 and probe says im 8.0 at its highest peak

I find that I need to leave the probe in each solution for an hour or so until the numbers stabilize. The raw data numbers never jump around. They just march slowly either up or down. There could be a minute between a change in 1 digit but over 10 minutes I find that the numbers can change quite a bit.

No, that is not good enough. Make sure you clean the probe with RODI water first and in between calibration fluids. Leave the probe in the containers for several minutes (I usually do it for 5 minutes). Also you want to tap the probe once it is in the fluid to get any bubbles off it.
