Thank you for taking the time to participate in this forum. It is very important to get the point view of exporters in the Philippines. It is valuable to know about the status of the trade of marine ornamentals in your country, of course that your point of view could be different to the points of view of many participating in this forum. I understand that you would like to have a CDT available to test the fish you are getting from your suppliers, I think that it would be a positive step from exporters identifying who are the collectors and the middlemen/women selling cyanide collected fish.

Do you think that the use of cyanide has decreased or increased in the last five years? What are the problems that you as exporter are facing in every day operations?

Thank you, Mr. J. Baquero. But at the same time I’m sorry to disappoint you regarding cyanide question. I don’t have records or keep track of records to give you an honest appraisal.

Problems?, we got all kinds of problems. Importers/buyers who pay late and shortchanged at the same time. Divers/suppliers who can’t follow specific instructions. i.e. overstocking of useless specie. And then, you have this forum where you have a lot of dimwits who has no clue of what’s the real world of MO. And you also have people who has their eyes on the grant money :twisted: . See, we deal problems on all sides of the equation. No matter how hard we try to do it right, we always get most if not all of the blame for illegal activities. But unlike the ptfea, I’m not going to sit down here and watch the world go by. Whenever my time permits. Expect a hit back from me as the rules of this forum will allow me. I don’t care if they are expert or some gurus of the trade.

You might want to read the rules closer, both the RDO general UA and the IBTH UA. Calling names isn't permitted (dimwits :roll: ). While you may have a "grasp" on PI, this is a GIANT planet and PI is just a speck on it my friend. Got any experience in Mo in other countries? Ever import, or do you just export? Ever seen your own shipments unpacked in other countries?

Yes, it’s a GIANT planet,… before the internet. You’re right PI is just a speck on this planet. But our total coastline area is much greater than that of USA. And we have the most diverse population of marine life on earth 8) . No need for me to go overseas, just for MO experience. Never import either, no reason to do so. Nope, never seen our boxes at the end of the trip either. But we get good feedbacks from our customers.
