Short video-Pipefish eating

So many people have doubted that I keep a Janns' Pipefish (named Ticonderoga by my daughter) in my reef.

He is known to eat pods just like my mandarin. Well recently he has also started eating frozen foods, primarily cyclopeeze.

Here's a short couple of vids that show him in action.

Those colors are very true in the vid. Orange, purple, blue. He's been in my reef since October, '05. Seven months now. SUPPOSEDLY he's one of the few pipefish that can survive in a reef with competing fish. They dine on pods mostly. The fact that he eats frozen now is just gravy. I never really expected that.
I only posted these videos because there have been some skeptics around doubting this guy being kept in a reef. :flower:

If I didn't play that music, do you really think my clowns would spawn? sheeeesh, such novices! I feed them chocolate covered strawberries and champagne too!

FYI, I filmed that with my Canon A80 camera. It is not a video camera, but has a short vid setting. I never tried it before. I didn't know that it recorded sound either. Shame on me. I would have been more selective with my choice of tunes had I known that. :lol2:

hey russ u think one of those pencils would work out in my tank with so much flow.... and no sand... they seem pretty cool.... ur pipefish has really nice colors...

He doesn't need a sandbed or a species tank. He's in my mixed reef right now. However, I only have low to moderate flow. Maybe one or two high flow areas in my tank.

He eats pods, so LR and a fuge are necessary.

That's ok T. Why do you think we named it Ticonderoga! He looks just like a Ticonderoga #2.
