Just put it in tank. I also got the wave maker attachment.

All my LPS corals exploded!!!! The hammer is more open then Ive ever seen. The torch is also open like ive only seen once in a while. The elegance is open(But he's always open)
My brown toadstool is larger than Ive ever seen.

But my green toadstool is closed, and appears really shiny, its been closed all day, even before vortech was used. Whats up with that?

leather coral will do that from time to time.

they will shed there skin to clean themselves, and open up again.

then again it just might not be happy :-/

what is a vortech? Cause the only one i know is a supercharger for a car :smash:

its a powerhead that uses magnets to power its prop, so it goes through the glass/surface of the tank. power is on outside, prop is no inside of tank.
And it has a bunch of settings to simulate waves, or random flow. you can sync like 6 of them togetrher, and they have a easily changeable flow from 200-3000 GPH.

Oh, I only use he foam cover to dampen the flow, thus giving me greter range in flow speed/power.

the foam is made for smaller creatures so they don't get sucked into the pump.
great for smaller tanks, and those with skinny pipefish :lol:
