I am going to swap out the filter sock and use a double mesh bags with carbon in a seperate bag.

I want to test the flow comming out of the drain

Just to give a up date I removed the filter sock and what do I find to my supprise pods. I dumped the sock fast and replaced it with a mesh bag. I am happy with the results. the water passes throught them faster.

I've been using filter socks for years..they just keep my water clearer then mesh bags etc..people think I run ozone. It just more time consuming to clean every 3-4 days and trying to save as may pods/critters as possible...

I hate :irked: spending 15mins saving all those pods but do anyway also makes water clear and bubble free.

I feel bad for the pods but i know they clean the water better
